Sitam is a story revolves around a girl’s struggle for her relations. Noor is the main protagonist of the story. She is the eldest sibling, her mother died when she was in her early teen since then she took care of her father and brought up her younger siblings. During the wedding preparation her father meets an accident and dies on the spot. After the death of her father Noor got to know about the loan, ultimately she is burdened with lot responsibilities. Her sister Waniya wants to be a doctor, younger brother Mobeen is irresponsible, amid all this she decides not to marry. She started working to meet the ends.

The story is about how past relationships affects the life of two families and people related to them. Tabinda and Umer Hasan are now heading families of their own separately but once they were part of each other’s life, due to some misunderstanding they part their ways. Umer married the daughter of a business man while Tabinda married a rich man and is now taking care of his business as he’s disabled. The story takes a turn when both meet while Tabinda goes to Umer’s house for his daughter’s proposal for her step son. Umer’s daughter Rameen and Tabinda’s son Shazir are madly in love with each other, when Umer denies for the proposal Rameen even she tries to attempt suicide. The news of suicide gets attention of media as it was spread by Tabinda to defame Umer. Umer helpless before Rameen, begs Tabinda to accept his daughter. After that Tabinda plans to take her revenge from Umer’s daughter and agrees for her son’s marriage to Rameen. Tabinda plan is going as per her plan to create misunderstandings. But eventually she is creating problem for herself that will result in loss of her own family
